Welcome
to
my
website.

I'm Gerda Bursens and I was born in 1947...
I live in Haasdonk, Beveren, Belguim
I've been sculpting dolls for more than 28 years.
I've started sculpting with papier mache, I once won a price having used this material, since then
I was under a spell of sculpting dolls.
Then I discovered fimo, a polymer clay, this clay helped me
better than any clay before in sculpting my own fantasy figures.
I also started experimenting with other polymer clays, like prosculpt, which I prefer
During all those years I've teached a lot of sculpting lessons in making fantasy figures.
I
create
all
kind
of
figures,
but
phantasy
figures
such
as
wizards,
trolls,
witches
and
pixies
I
enjoy
making
the
most.
They
make
me
dream.
How
did
it
all
start...
The sculpting
becomes
a
passion!
I
also
write
poems,
I can
find
peace
in
my
poems,
and
they're
also
a
great
inspiration
for
sculpting
my
figures.
While
you're
sculpting,
you
come
in
to
your
own
world,
that
only
you
can
feel,
a
world
where
the
clay
comes
to
live.
It's
very
addictive,
you
keep
wanting
more
of
this
peaceful
feeling.

I am
also
passionate
about
an
old
but
in
no
way
forgotten
television
series
called
The
Beauty
and
The
Beast.

The
poems
I
write
are
all
transformed
into
scrapbook
.
I
find
materials
and
desing
on (www.hobbyschuurtje.be)
They
are
a
source
of
inspiration
for
those
who
share
interest
in
working
with
paper.

I
like
working
with
PaintShopPro
(PSP).
I am
a
member
of
the
internet
forum
www.elise-psp.nl.
Elise
tought
me
everything
I
know
about
PSP.
I
used
this
knowledge
to
create
the
website
you
are
visiting
at
the
moment.

The
biggest
love
of
my
life
is
my
little
Chihuahua
Pixi,
whose
companionship
is a
blessing
to
me.

First
of all , I would
like
to
thank
my
son
for
his
dedication
and
support.

I
also
would
like
to
thank
my
good
friend
Marina
(http://www.mybatbpage.com/homepage.html)
for
her
help
in
the
realization
of
this
website.

Without
them,
this
website
would
not
exist.

I
hope
you
will
have
a
nice
time
going
through
the
pages
of
my
website.
Enjoy!
Gerda.
